My name is Anna; I’m twenty-threeyears old, an artist, fashion lover, and mental health nursing student.
This blog is a place for me to focus on the things I love in life, when everything is getting stressful. I’m a lover of fashion, beauty, art, and making people feel good about themselves. I currently work as a healthcare assistant for my local mental health trust, and I absolutely adore my job. I work with a huge range of people, from the elderly with dementia, to adults suffering from mental ill health.
Having suffered from anxiety for many years, and an eating disorder, I understand why it is so important to love yourself, even just a little bit. If you don’t love yourself (or at least like yourself, just a tiny bit, for those struggling with the love part), then it’s difficult to let anybody else love you either. Before anybody else, you are the most important person in your life. Without your own acceptance, then you will struggle to allow yourself to become the person you really are.
This blog is here to tell you that, yes, it is perfectly okay to say thank you when somebody compliments you. That it is perfectly okay to smile when you see yourself in a mirror. That it is perfectly okay to love yourself, unashamedly, for who you are.
